Mid Summer Retreat | Thursday, July 25th - Sunday, July 28th
with Jeffrey Villanueva and Arlynn Shimizu
This upstate yoga-focused weekend will have lots of options for both invigorating practice and rejuvenating relaxation. Join Arlynn and Jeffrey for a midsummer getaway to restore and renew in the Hudson Valley. Practice offerings include morning Ashtanga – a half-led primary series suitable for all levels, afternoon vinyasa classes, guided meditation and breathwork sessions, and a chance to join 3 different workshops: The Art of Floating, Inversions, and Chakra Tuning. Enjoy the landscape during downtime – swim in the fresh spring-fed pond, the salt water pool, hike nearby trails, bask around bonfires and more. Guests will enjoy 3 vegetarian meals each day prepared by Chef Davis Lindsey, formally of Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
Arlynn and Jeffrey are practitioners and teachers deeply-rooted in the ashtanga yoga tradition. Their teaching focuses on creating synergy between mind, body and breath, allowing each student to truly experience their highest potential and awakening in their practice. They tailor asanas to suit the individual needs of each student, incorporating safe, strong and therapeutic hands-on adjustments.
